Living alone at my age in a 4-bedr00m 3-car-garage house! How stupid can you get! On the other hand, disposing of enough stuff in it is a major project for which I need help. If you can have a living will why not a living estate sale? Who do I turn to? Professional Organizer? Antique store? Handy man? E-bay? U-Haul? Relatives? Dumpster? Movers?

ReplyDeleteIn my town there are a lot of people I refer to (with no disrespect) as rag-pickers. I put stuff out by my dumpster, things I don't want but are not trash, and people just come and take them. It's free, easy and straightforward.
If I were you, I'd call a secondhand store, or even an antique store if you have anything along those lines and explain your situation. My guess is they will have someone (an appraiser?) who can come out and help you. Of course, this would only work for furniture or other "big ticket" items. Boxes of stuff are a little harder.
